Outfitting for Birding
The most important tools you'll need are your eyes, ears, and mind. If these are in order, there are a few
man-made items that will come in handy as you proceed. Nothing needs to be expensive (though you can spend
a lot on optics, you can also spend a small sum.).
This section of the site describes the basic items you'll need and, in some cases, provides links to places
where they can be found on the Web. In short, you'll want a field guide and binoculars for sure. Beyond these
two items, you may invest in software, CD's, a PDA, and other items, but none of these are required.
Use the links on the top left to navigate your way through the various categories of items. If you have any questions
